Maths Home Learning V2 7

 What time is it now

What time will it be in 1000 seconds

10:13

1min = 60s
60s x 10 = 600s
60s x 2 =120s x 3 = 360s

600s + 360s = 960s + 40s = 1000s + 10:13

  1. Hi Elliot,
    thanks for sharing your working out. So you worked out that 1000 seconds is:
    10 minutes= 600 seconds, 6 (3x2) minutes = 360 seconds , so 16 minutes is 960 seconds. So the time will be 10.13 + 16 minutes and 40seconds, which is 10.19 and 40 seconds.
